The Brothers
Matt and Nate are identical twins. They were born on January 10, 2006 at 31-weeks due to complications from twin-twin transfusion. Matt weighed in at 4 lbs. 8 oz. and Nate at 2 lbs. 12 oz. Nate can only be described with one word...CRAZY! He is independent, curious, full of energy, and lots of fun. Although a complete peanut, he doesn't let his small size stop him from getting into trouble. His favorite thing in the world is being chased. Mattie is Mr. Sweetie Pie. His smile will melt your heart. Matthew has many health complications--periventricular leukomalacia (brain damage), spastic quadripelegia cerebral palsy, unexplained hypertension, three eye conditions (cortical vision impairment, optic nerve hypoplasia, and optic nerve atrophy), and uncontrolled epilepsy. Between physical therapy, occupational therapy, vision therapy, an infant class at Foundation for Blind Children, and his regular slew of doctors appointments, he keeps a busy schedule. Thank goodness my mom lives 15 minutes away! Mattie and Nate were a wonderful addition to our family...even though our lives have been pure chaos since their arrival!
It's Sammy time!
Hi, I'm Sammy. I am five-and-a-half year's old. My favorite things are Bionicals, Legos, www.lego.com, and playing with Mattie and Nathan. I want to be a scientist when I grow up. I want to be a rocket scientist. They make sure rockets are OK and they do the countdown.

Let the fun begin!
